BDA Landscape Architects were retained by Catalyst Consulting and the Town of Sackville to prepare the concept and construction package for the re-development of the Town’s primary public park. Bill Johnstone Park has seen some undesirable activity in recent years and in need of a ‘facelift’. BDA prepared the conceptual design and 3D model of the park upgrade and prepared the construction drawings, details and specifications as well as overseeing the team of sub-consutlants. The primary components to the park are: the proposed Splash Pad, entrance gateways, expansion of the basketball court, new bandstand, site shaping, planting, site furnishing, walkways and consolidation of play equipment. The park building that is included in the project was designed by Stantec. As part of the design process, BDA presented the concept to Council and to the public at an openhouse session.
