Since 2007 BDA Landscape Architects have assisted the City of Dieppe with the design of several trail projects. Many of the trails projects have been constructed are neighborhood connections linking multi-use trails within residential areas to key points of interest such as schools, parks and larger trail systems. In January 2012, BDA was awarded a contract to provide an assessment of portions of proposed route for hiking and biking connection the boundary of Dieppe and Memramcook with Fox Creek and the City of Dieppe. Field assessments were conducted on 9.0km of trail corridor and were mapped using a GPS. Four options for the trail location and three possible future trail connections were also mapped. Environmental challenges (wetlands, streams, etc.) were located and a photographic inventory of the total system was conducted. BDA produced a working drawing package and provided tendering services for the first section of trail in 2013. This section expanded the existing Riverfront trail to Dover Road and included several boardwalk spans through marsh and over Petitcodiac River tributaries.
